Project Overview
The Rosetown Hospital project, led by CandorBuild, began in August 2025 and is scheduled for completion by February 2026. Our electrical team was brought on to manage critical system upgrades and installations within an active hospital environment—a setting that demands exceptional planning, precision, and communication. The project has now moved from the initial demolition phase into the rough-in stage, marking a significant milestone toward full electrical integration.
Electrical Scope & Responsibilities
Our scope includes all electrical rough-ins and service work required to bring modern, efficient power systems to the facility. Working alongside CandorBuild, we are responsible for:
- Safely disconnecting and rerouting existing electrical systems
- Installing new service lines and equipment to meet current healthcare codes
- Coordinating temporary and permanent power to maintain uninterrupted operations
- Ensuring fire alarm systems remain functional during phased removal and installation
Every element of our work is carefully sequenced to maintain the hospital’s operations without disruption, ensuring patient safety and compliance at every step.
Challenges & Coordination
Working in an active hospital presents unique challenges that go beyond technical installation. Because critical systems like power and fire alarms cannot simply be shut off, our team must coordinate every step with hospital administrators, maintenance teams, and the local fire department. Each planned shutdown or disconnection requires precise timing and contingency planning to ensure the hospital remains fully operational and compliant with safety standards.
Clear communication is key—our crews collaborate daily with on-site staff and emergency services to ensure everyone is informed, prepared, and aligned on schedule-sensitive activities. These safeguards protect both the facility’s operations and the community it serves.
Planning & Material Management
Behind every on-site installation is an equal effort in the office. Our project management team works closely with engineers to plan material procurement and approvals well in advance, ensuring long-lead items arrive on time and meet all project specifications. Each piece of equipment must be reviewed and approved to comply with healthcare codes, and that process requires foresight and coordination.
By staying ahead of supply chain challenges and engineering reviews, we minimize downtime, prevent rework, and keep the project moving smoothly through each construction phase. This proactive planning ensures our field crews always have the right tools and materials at the right time.
Results
The Rosetown Hospital project demonstrates the strength of our team’s adaptability and leadership. Through strategic communication, disciplined planning, and meticulous on-site execution, we are delivering a modern electrical system designed for reliability and safety in one of the most sensitive construction environments.
Our work with CandorBuild highlights how collaboration and precision can transform even the most complex hospital upgrades into efficient, seamless results—built to the highest standards of quality and care.
